How long does sea freight from China to Nigeria take, and what does DDP include?
Sea freight from Shenzhen to Lagos runs approximately 25 to 30 days port to port, or 30 to 40 days to the consignee's door including clearance and delivery. Our DDP price covers pickup in China, export declaration, ocean freight, destination customs entry, import duty and final delivery. Customs inspection fees and demurrage caused by incomplete documents are excluded and always stated in writing.

We collect from your supplier, inspect and tally at our Shenzhen warehouse, palletise if required, and complete Chinese export declaration.

Cargo moves by sea or air. Our Lagos team files the destination entry and pays duty where the terms include it.

Delivery to the consignee address, with a signed confirmation returned to you and a copy of the clearance documents.
Questions importers ask before booking
What does DDP actually include on your quotations?
Pickup in China, export declaration, main freight, destination customs entry, import duty and VAT where applicable, and delivery to the consignee address. Excluded items are also listed in writing: customs inspection fees, port storage and demurrage caused by incomplete documents, and any duty rate change after quotation. If a cost is not on the quotation, ask us to confirm it in writing before booking.
How long does shipping from China to Nigeria take?
By sea, roughly 25 to 30 days Shenzhen to Lagos port to port, and roughly 30 to 40 days to the consignee door once clearance and delivery are included. By air, roughly 7 to 12 days door to door. These are planning ranges based on normal schedules and do not include customs inspection, port congestion or carrier schedule changes, which we report as they happen rather than absorb silently.
Do I need SONCAP for my products?
Most regulated manufactured goods entering Nigeria require a SONCAP certificate, and food, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices fall under NAFDAC instead. Which one applies depends on the specific product and HS code, so send us the product details and we will confirm the requirement and the documents needed before you ship.
Can you handle goods that need special permits?
We can carry goods that require permits or certification provided the correct paperwork is in place, and we will tell you up front what is needed. We do not accept counterfeit or infringing goods, or anything on the destination country's prohibited list.
What are your payment terms?
Terms depend on shipment value and whether it is a first shipment or a repeat account. We confirm the terms in the written quotation before booking. Please contact us for a specific quotation rather than relying on an indicative figure.
